A little about money.

Money makes the world go round, they say, and I think that is the truth. They also say that money is not everything in the world. But still, life is a lot easier, if you have some.

When man lived in caves, he did not think of money. All his time and efforts was about how to provide food for himself and his family. Soon he found out, that if he had a lucky day and came home from his hunting with two deers , he could change his abundance of meat into clothes, dishes, weapons or something else. Later on the money was invented as a changing form. In the beginning it vas just peaches of metal, iron, cupper, silver and even gold. For one ounce of cupper for example, you might buy a sheep.

In the old Greek, which at that time was split up into small kingdoms or states, the state Spartacus decided, that owing too much money was a bad thing. So they made a law saying, that only big stones in shape of a millstone, was a valid mean of payment. The rest of the Greek states went in the opposite direction. They made small round peaches of metal, (coins). The Romans, about the birth of Christ, had a lot of coins, mostly in cupper, but also in silver and gold.

Later on some people found out that, as money is only a symbol used for changing goods or work, you need not to make it out of gold or silver. You can just print the numbers and letters on a peace of paper, and there you have the dollar bill.

The introduction of paper money started a new era. People, who by chance or by luck had money enough, could lend out some of it. If they did so, they should have something in return. And what should they have? Yes of course, a little more money paid back. The concept of interest vas born. They also started to make papers of ownership for things like vehicles, houses and so on, and used these papers for trading. This was the start of shares, bonds, bills of exchange and all that stuff.

But who were the lucky persons with a lot of money? How did they get it? - Well, you start with a brilliant Idea, an invention of something. Nowadays it is not a must, that this invention is made by you yourself. This side introduces some ideas, which might be something for you.
